Bonivital Baseball is offering a free catching-specific player/coach clinic to all U11A, AA, and U13A, AA teams on May 9 and June 6, 2025. This two-part clinic provides valuable instruction and resources to help further develop your catchers’ skills and enhance your players’ experiences.
Each 90-minute clinic will cover age-appropriate fundamental skills for the catchers and positive teaching techniques for coaches. We strongly encourage all coaches to attend to help promote consistent messaging and skill development. Areas of focus will consist of:
May 9, 2025
– setting up square and with balance, and protecting the throwing hand.
– communicating with the pitcher (giving signs)
– maintaining the pace of play.
– setting up for success. Working the middle of the plate.
– receiving
– throwing to second and third.
June 6, 2025
– review day one. Questions from catchers and coaches.
– communicating with first and third base (fence and out).
– blocking.
– fly balls.
To allow for proper planning, please register for this free clinic by emailing your catcher’s name and how many coaches will attend each date. In case of poor weather conditions, email notifications will be sent to all participants by 5:00pm.
